भेतव्यं हि सदा राज्ञां परजानाम अधिपा हि ते मारयन्ति विकर्मस्थं लुब्धा मृगम इवेषुभिः ॥ ३-१९८-२६ ॥

'Kings are to be revered, for they hold authority over their subjects and safeguard the balance of society. Just as a hunter controls the movements of deer with well-aimed arrows, so too does a king restrain and correct those who deviate from their paths.' ॥ 3-198-26 ॥

bhetavyaM hi sadA rAjJAM parajAnAma adhipA hi te mArayanti vikarmasthaM lubdhA mRgama iveSubhiH ॥ 3-198-26 ॥

जनकस्येह विप्रर्षे विकर्मस्थॊ न विद्यते सवकर्म निरता वर्णाश चत्वारापि दविजॊत्तम ॥ ३-१९८-२७ ॥

'O revered Rishi, in the kingdom of Janaka, there is not a single subject who strays from the duties prescribed by their birth. O foremost among Brahmanas, all four orders here steadfastly uphold and adhere to their respective responsibilities with unwavering discipline.' ॥ 3-198-27 ॥

janakasyeha viprarSe vikarmasthò na vidyate savakarma niratA varNAza catvArApi davijòttama ॥ 3-198-27 ॥

स एष जनकॊ राजा दुर्वृत्तम अपि चेत सुतम दण्ड्यं दण्डे निक्षिपति तथा न गलाति धार्मिकम ॥ ३-१९८-२८ ॥

'King Janaka enforces punishment upon the wicked, even if the wrongdoer is his own son, yet he never harms the virtuous.' ॥ 3-198-28 ॥

sa eSa janakò rAjA durvRttama api ceta sutama daNDyaM daNDe nikSipati tathA na galAti dhArmikama ॥ 3-198-28 ॥

सुयुक्तचारॊ नृपतिः सर्वं धर्मेण पश्यति शरीश च राज्यं च दण्डश च कषत्रियाणां दविजॊत्तम ॥ ३-१९८-२९ ॥

'Prosperity, authority over the kingdom, and the power to administer justice, O foremost of Brahmanas, are the rightful domain of Kshatriyas.' ॥ 3-198-29 ॥

राजानॊ हि सवधर्मेण शरियम इच्छन्ति भूयसीम सर्वेषाम एव वर्णानां तराता राजा भवत्य उत ॥ ३-१९८-३० ॥

'Kings seek great prosperity by faithfully performing the duties assigned to their station. The king is the guardian of all four orders, ensuring the welfare and harmony of society.' ॥ 3-198-30 ॥
