सत्यं वदे नाभ्यसूये यथाशक्ति ददामि च देवतातिथिभृत्यानाम अवशिष्टेन वर्तये ॥ ३-१९८-२१ ॥
'I always speak the truth, never envy others, and give to the best of my power. I live upon what remaineth after serving the gods, guests, and those that depend on me.' ॥ 3-198-21 ॥
english translation
न कुत्सयाम्य अहं किं चिन न गर्हे बलवत्तरम कृतम अन्वेति कर्तारं पुरा कर्म दविजॊत्तम ॥ ३-१९८-२२ ॥
'I never speak ill of anything, small or great. O thou best of Brahmanas, the actions of a former life always follow the doer.' ॥ 3-198-22 ॥
english translation
कृषिगॊरक्ष्य वाणिज्यम इह लॊकस्य जीवनम दण्डनीतिस तरयी विद्या तेन लॊका भवन्त्य उत ॥ ३-१९८-२३ ॥
'In this world, there are three principal professions: agriculture, rearing of cattle, and trade. As regards the other world, the three Vedas, knowledge, and the science of morals are efficacious.' ॥ 3-198-23 ॥

कर्म शूद्रे कृषिर वैश्ये संग्रामः कषत्रिये समृतः बरह्मचर्यं तपॊ मन्त्राः सत्यं च बराह्मणे सदा ॥ ३-१९८-२४ ॥
'Service (of the other three orders) hath been ordained to be the duty of the Sudra. Agriculture hath been ordained for the Vaisyas, and fighting for the Kshatriyas, while the practice of the Brahmacharya vow, asceticism, recitation of mantras, and truthfulness have been ordained for the Brahmanas.' ॥ 3-198-24 ॥

राजा परशास्ति धर्मेण सवकर्म निरताः परजाः विकर्माणश च ये के चित तान युनक्ति सवकर्मसु ॥ ३-१९८-२५ ॥
'The king should rule virtuously over subjects who adhere to their proper duties, ensuring the welfare and harmony of the realm. Those who stray from the duties of their order, he should guide back with firmness and wisdom.' ॥ 3-198-25 ॥
