[वयाध] कुलॊचितम इदं कर्म पितृपैतामहं मम वर्तमानस्य मे धर्मे सवे मन्युं मा कृथा दविज ॥ ३-१९८-१९ ॥

sanskrit

'At these words of the Brahmana, the fowler said, 'This profession is that of my family, inherited from my sires and grandsires. O regenerate one, grieve not for me owing to my adherence to the duties that belong to me by birth.' ॥ 3-198-19 ॥

english translation

[vayAdha] kulòcitama idaM karma pitRpaitAmahaM mama vartamAnasya me dharme save manyuM mA kRthA davija ॥ 3-198-19 ॥
