स तु देवान सगन्धर्वाञ जित्वा धुन्धुर अमर्षणः बबाध सर्वान असकृद देवान विष्णुं च वै भृशम ॥ ३-१९५-६ ॥
'With his wrath burning, Dhundhu, having defeated the gods and the Gandharvas, began to torment all the celestials, with Vishnu at their head.' ॥ 3-195-6 ॥

समुद्रॊ बालुका पूर्ण उज्जानक इति समृतः आगम्य च स दुष्टात्मा तं देशं भरतर्षभ बाधते सम परं शक्त्या तम उत्तङ्काश्रमं परभॊ ॥ ३-१९५-७ ॥
'Finally, O bull of the Bharata race, that wicked-souled Asura, arriving at the vast sea of sands known as Ujjalaka, began to harass with all his might the sacred asylum of Utanka.' ॥ 3-195-7 ॥

अन्तर्भूमि गतस तत्र वालुकान्तर्हितस तदा मधुकैटभयॊः पुत्रॊ धुन्धुर भीमपराक्रमः ॥ ३-१९५-८ ॥
'There, hidden within the earth, concealed in the sand, Was Dhundhu, the son of Madhu and Kaitabha, of terrible prowess.' ॥ 3-195-8 ॥

शेते लॊकविनाशाय तपॊबलसमाश्रितः उत्तङ्कस्याश्रमाभ्याशे निःश्वसन पावकार्चिषः ॥ ३-१९५-९ ॥
'He lies there for the destruction of the worlds, relying on the power of his austerities, Near Utanka's hermitage, breathing out fiery flames.' ॥ 3-195-9 ॥

एतस्मिन्न एव काले तु संभृत्य बलवाहनः कुवलाश्वॊ नरपतिर अन्वितॊ बलशालिनाम ॥ ३-१९५-१० ॥
'While the Asura lay, breathing heavily near the asylum of the resplendent sage Utanka, King Kulaswa, accompanied by his troops and the Brahmana Utanka along with all his sons, set out for that region, O bull of the Bharata race!' ॥ 3-195-10 ॥
