'And Dhundhu, O king, lay covering the western part of the desert, surrounded on all sides by the sons of Kuvalaswa.' ॥ 3-195-21 ॥

The mighty Danava was assailed with sharp-pointed arrows, maces, heavy and short clubs, axes, clubs with iron spikes, darts, and bright, keen-edged swords-

स वध्यमानः संक्रुद्धः समुत्तस्थौ महाबलः करुद्धश चाभक्षयत तेषां शस्त्राणि विविधानि च ॥ ३-१९५-२३ ॥
'Under such a fierce assault, the powerful Asura rose in wrath from his reclining posture. In his fury, the Asura began to devour the various weapons that were hurled at him.' ॥ 3-195-23 ॥

आस्याद वमन पावकं स संवर्तक समं तदा तान सर्वान नृपतेः पुत्रान अदहत सवेन तेजसा ॥ ३-१९५-२४ ॥
'He vomited from his mouth fiery flames, resembling the Samvarta fire that appears at the end of the Yuga. With these flames, the Asura consumed all the sons of the king.' ॥ 3-195-24 ॥

मुखजेनाग्निना करुद्धॊ लॊकान उद्वर्तयन्न इव कषणेन राजशार्दूल पुरेव कपिलः परभुः सगरस्यात्मजान करुद्धस तद अद्भुतम इवाभवत ॥ ३-१९५-२५ ॥
'O tiger among men, like the ancient Lord Kapila who consumed the sons of King Sagara, the enraged Asura overwhelmed the triple world with the flames he vomited and achieved that wondrous feat in an instant.' ॥ 3-195-25 ॥
