तवयि तुष्टे जगत सवस्थं तवयि करुद्धे महद भयम भयानाम अपनेतासि तवम एकः पुरुषॊत्तम ॥ ३-१९२-१६ ॥
'When You are pleased, O Lord, the universe thrives in peace. But when You are angry, fear grips every soul. You are the great dispeller of all terrors and the One Supreme Being!' ॥ 3-192-16 ॥

tavayi tuSTe jagata savasthaM tavayi karuddhe mahada bhayama bhayAnAma apanetAsi tavama ekaH puruSòttama ॥ 3-192-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवानां मानुषाणां च सर्वभूतसुखावहः तरिभिर विक्रमणैर देवत्रयॊ लॊकास तवयाहृताः असुराणां समृद्धानां विनाशश च तवया कृतः ॥ ३-१९२-१७ ॥
'You are the source of happiness for both gods and humans! O Lord, with three mighty strides, You encompassed the three worlds. It was You who destroyed the Asuras at the height of their power.' ॥ 3-192-17 ॥

devAnAM mAnuSANAM ca sarvabhUtasukhAvahaH taribhira vikramaNaira devatrayò lòkAsa tavayAhRtAH asurANAM samRddhAnAM vinAzaza ca tavayA kRtaH ॥ 3-192-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतव विक्रमणैर देवा निर्वाणम अगमन परम पराभवं च दैत्येन्द्रास तवयि करुद्धेमहा दयुते ॥ ३-१९२-१८ ॥
'Through Your divine prowess, O God, the celestials attained peace and happiness. And, O being of great effulgence, it was Your wrath that destroyed a hundred mighty Daitya chiefs.' ॥ 3-192-18 ॥

tava vikramaNaira devA nirvANama agamana parama parAbhavaM ca daityendrAsa tavayi karuddhemahA dayute ॥ 3-192-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतवं हि कर्ता विकर्ता च भूतानाम इह सर्वशः आराधयित्वा तवां देवाः सुखम एधन्ति सर्वशः ॥ ३-१९२-१९ ॥
'You are the Creator and the Destroyer of all beings in the world. It is by adoring You that the gods have attained happiness.' ॥ 3-192-19 ॥

tavaM hi kartA vikartA ca bhUtAnAma iha sarvazaH ArAdhayitvA tavAM devAH sukhama edhanti sarvazaH ॥ 3-192-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं सतुतॊ हृषीकेश उत्तङ्केन महात्मना उत्तङ्कम अब्रवीद विष्णुः परीतस ते ऽहं वरं वृणु ॥ ३-१९२-२० ॥
'Thus, O Yudhishthira, the high-souled Uttanka praised the Lord of the Senses. Pleased with his devotion, Vishnu said to Uttanka, 'I am gratified with you. Ask for the boon you desire.'' ॥ 3-192-20 ॥
