सैवम उक्तॊ ऽबरवीद एनम अस्ति खल्व इन्द्रद्युम्नसरॊ नाम तस्मिन नाडीजङ्घॊ नाम बकः परतिवसति सॊ ऽसमत्तश चिरजाततरः तं पृच्छेति ॥ ३-१९१-९ ॥

'The royal sage Indradyumna then asked the owl, "Is there anyone who is older than you?" To this, the owl replied, "There is a lake named Indradyumna. In that lake dwells a crane called Nadijangha, who is older than I. You should inquire of him."' ॥ 3-191-9 ॥

english translation

saivama uktò 'baravIda enama asti khalva indradyumnasarò nAma tasmina nADIjaGghò nAma bakaH parativasati sò 'samattaza cirajAtataraH taM pRccheti ॥ 3-191-9 ॥
