एतच छरुत्वा स कच्छपस तस्मात सरसॊत्थायाभ्यगच्छद यत्र तिष्ठामॊ वयं तस्य सरसस तीरे ॥ ३-१९१-१६ ॥
'Hearing this, the tortoise emerged from the lake and came to the spot on the bank where we were gathered.' ॥ 3-191-16 ॥

आगतं चैनं वयम अपृच्छाम भवान इन्द्रद्युम्नं राजानम अभिजानातीति ॥ ३-१९१-१७ ॥
'Once he arrived, we asked him, 'Do you know King Indradyumna?'' ॥ 3-191-17 ॥

स मुहूर्तं धयात्वा बाष्पपूर्णनयन उद्विग्नहृदयॊ वेपमानॊ विसंज्ञकल्पः पराञ्जलिर अब्रवीत किम अहम एनं न परत्यभिजानामि अहं हय अनेन सहस्रकृत्वः पूर्वम अग्निचितिषूपहित पूर्वः सरश चेदम अस्य दक्षिणादत्ताभिर गॊभिर अतिक्रममाणाभिः कृतम अत्र चाहं परतिवसामीति ॥ ३-१९१-१८ ॥
'We asked, 'Do you know King Indradyumna?' The tortoise reflected for a moment, his eyes filled with tears, his heart deeply moved, trembling all over, nearly losing his senses. With joined hands, he replied, 'How could I not know him? He has planted the sacrificial stake a thousand times during the kindling of the sacrificial fire. This lake was dug by the feet of the cows that were given by the king to the Brahmanas upon the completion of his sacrifices. I have lived here ever since.'' ॥ 3-191-18 ॥

अथैतत कच्छपेनॊदाहृतं शरुत्वा समनन्तरं देवलॊकाद देव रथः परादुरासीत ॥ ३-१९१-१९ ॥
'Upon hearing this account from the tortoise, immediately thereafter, a divine chariot from the heavenly realms appeared.' ॥ 3-191-19 ॥

वाचॊ चाश्रूयन्तेन्द्रद्युम्नं परति परस्तुतस ते सवर्गः यथॊचितं सथानम अभिपद्यस्व कीर्तिमान असि अव्यग्रॊ याहीति ॥ ३-१९१-२० ॥
'An aerial voice was heard, addressing Indradyumna: 'Come and take the place you deserve in heaven! Your achievements are great! Proceed joyfully to your rightful abode!'' ॥ 3-191-20 ॥
