तम एवं वादिनम इष्टजनशॊकपरीतात्मा राजा परॊवाच न हि कषम्यते तन मया हनिष्याम्य एतान एतैर दुरात्मभिः परिया मे भक्षिता सर्वथैव मे वध्या मण्डूकाः नार्हसि विद्वन माम उपरॊद्धुम इति ।। ३-१९०-३६ ।।

sanskrit

'Then King Parikshit, his soul filled with sorrow on account of the death of his beloved, answered the chief of the frogs, who had spoken thus: 'I will not forgive the frogs. On the contrary, I shall slay them. By these wicked wretches, my dear one has been consumed. Therefore, the frogs always deserve to be killed by me.'' ।। 3-190-36 ।।

english translation

tama evaM vAdinama iSTajanazòkaparItAtmA rAjA paròvAca na hi kaSamyate tana mayA haniSyAmya etAna etaira durAtmabhiH pariyA me bhakSitA sarvathaiva me vadhyA maNDUkAH nArhasi vidvana mAma uparòddhuma iti || 3-190-36 ||
