वाराहं रूपम आस्थाय मयेयं जगती पुरा मज्जमाना जले विप्र वीर्येणासीत समुद्धृता ।। ३-१८७-११ ।।

sanskrit

'And O regenerate one, it is I who, assuming the form of a boar, raised this earth, which was once submerged in water, in ancient times.' ।। 3-187-11 ।।

english translation

vArAhaM rUpama AsthAya mayeyaM jagatI purA majjamAnA jale vipra vIryeNAsIta samuddhRtA || 3-187-11 ||

sanskrit

'And, O best of Brahmanas, it is I who, becoming the fire that issues from the horse's mouth, drink up the waters of the ocean and then create them again.' ।। 3-187-12 ।।

agniza ca vaDavA vaktrò bhUtvAhaM davijasattama pibAmya apaH samAviddhAsa tAza caiva visRjAmya ahama || 3-187-12 ||

बरह्म वक्त्रं भुजौ कषत्रम ऊरू मे संश्रिता विशः पादौ शूद्रा भजन्ते मे विक्रमेण करमेण च ।। ३-१८७-१३ ।।

'From the energy of my mouth, my arms, my thighs, and my feet, there gradually emerged the Brahmanas, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras.' ।। 3-187-13 ।।

barahma vaktraM bhujau kaSatrama UrU me saMzritA vizaH pAdau zUdrA bhajante me vikrameNa karameNa ca || 3-187-13 ||

ऋग्वेदः सामवेदश च यजुर्वेदॊ ऽपय अथर्वणः मत्तः परादुर्भवन्त्य एते माम एव परविशन्ति च ।। ३-१८७-१४ ।।

'It is from me that the Rig, the Sama, the Yajus, and the Atharvan Vedas spring, and it is into me that they all enter when the time comes.' ।। 3-187-14 ।।

RgvedaH sAmavedaza ca yajurvedò 'paya atharvaNaH mattaH parAdurbhavantya ete mAma eva paravizanti ca || 3-187-14 ||

यतयः शान्ति परमा यतात्मानॊ मुमुक्षवः कामक्रॊधद्वेषमुक्ता निःसङ्गा वीतकल्मषाः ।। ३-१८७-१५ ।।

sanskrit

'Brahmanas devoted to asceticism, those who hold peace as the highest virtue, who have mastered their senses and seek knowledge, who are free from lust, wrath, and envy, who are unattached to earthly things, who have purified their sins, are the true seekers of liberation.' ।। 3-187-15 ।।

english translation

yatayaH zAnti paramA yatAtmAnò mumukSavaH kAmakròdhadveSamuktA niHsaGgA vItakalmaSAH || 3-187-15 ||
