नौस्थश च मां परतीक्षेथास तदा मुनिजनप्रिय आगमिष्याम्य अहं शृङ्गी विज्ञेयस तेन तापस ॥ ३-१८५-३१ ॥
'While there, O beloved of the Munis, you shall wait for me, and I shall appear to you like a horned creature. Thus, O ascetic, you shall recognize me!' ॥ 3-185-31 ॥
english translation
nausthaza ca mAM paratIkSethAsa tadA munijanapriya AgamiSyAmya ahaM zRGgI vijJeyasa tena tApasa ॥ 3-185-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवम एत तवया कार्यम आपृष्टॊ ऽसि वरजाम्य अहम नातिशङ्क्यम इदं चापि वचनं ते ममाभिभॊ ॥ ३-१८५-३२ ॥
'I shall now depart, and you must act according to my instructions, for without my aid, you cannot save yourself from that dreadful flood.' ॥ 3-185-32 ॥
english translation
evama eta tavayA kAryama ApRSTò 'si varajAmya ahama nAtizaGkyama idaM cApi vacanaM te mamAbhibhò ॥ 3-185-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं करिष्य इति तं स मत्स्यं परत्यभाषत जग्मतुश च यथाकामम अनुज्ञाप्य परस्परम ॥ ३-१८५-३३ ॥
'Then Manu said to the fish, 'I do not doubt anything you have said, O great one! I shall act accordingly.' After exchanging instructions, they both departed.' ॥ 3-185-33 ॥
english translation
evaM kariSya iti taM sa matsyaM paratyabhASata jagmatuza ca yathAkAmama anujJApya parasparama ॥ 3-185-33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ मनुर महाराज यथॊक्तं मत्यकेन ह बीजान्य आदाय सर्वाणि सागरं पुप्लुवे तदा नावा तु शुभया वीर महॊर्मिणम अरिंदम ॥ ३-१८५-३४ ॥
'Then Manu, O great and mighty king, conqueror of your enemies, gathered all the seeds as instructed by the fish, and set sail in an excellent vessel upon the raging sea.' ॥ 3-185-34 ॥
english translation
tatò manura mahArAja yathòktaM matyakena ha bIjAnya AdAya sarvANi sAgaraM pupluve tadA nAvA tu zubhayA vIra mahòrmiNama ariMdama ॥ 3-185-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचिन्तयाम आस च मनुस तं मत्स्यं पृथिवीपते स च तच चिन्तितं जञात्वा मत्स्यः परपुरंजय शृङ्गी तत्राजगामाशु तदा भरतसत्तम ॥ ३-१८५-३५ ॥
'Then, O lord of the earth, Manu reflected upon the fish. And the fish, O conqueror of your enemies and foremost scion of Bharata’s line, understanding his thoughts, appeared there with horns upon its head.' ॥ 3-185-35 ॥

cintayAma Asa ca manusa taM matsyaM pRthivIpate sa ca taca cintitaM jaJAtvA matsyaH parapuraMjaya zRGgI tatrAjagAmAzu tadA bharatasattama ॥ 3-185-35 ॥
