[तार्क्स्य] इदं शरेयॊ परमं मन्यमाना; वयायच्छन्ते मुनयः संप्रतीताः आचक्ष्व मे तं परमं विशॊकं; मॊक्षं परं यं परविशन्ति धीराः ।। ३-१८४-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'Tarkshya said, "This, which I consider the highest good, is accepted by the sages who are firmly convinced of it. Tell me, O revered one, that supreme, grief-free liberation, the ultimate goal, to which the wise ascend."' ।। 3-184-21 ।।

english translation

[tArksya] idaM zareyò paramaM manyamAnA; vayAyacchante munayaH saMpratItAH AcakSva me taM paramaM vizòkaM; mòkSaM paraM yaM paravizanti dhIrAH || 3-184-21 ||

hk transliteration

[सरस] तं वै परं वेदविदः परपन्नाः; परं परेभ्यः परथितं पुराणम सवाध्यायदानव्रतपुण्ययॊगैस; तपॊधना वीतशॊका विमुक्ताः ।। ३-१८४-२२ ।।

sanskrit

'Saraswati said, "Those who are devoted to the study of the Vedas and who have surrendered themselves to the supreme truth, by their practices of study, charity, vows, and spiritual discipline, attain the highest state. They are liberated from grief and free from attachment, having ascended to the supreme, ancient realms that have been established by those wise in the scriptures."' ।। 3-184-22 ।।

english translation

[sarasa] taM vai paraM vedavidaH parapannAH; paraM parebhyaH parathitaM purANama savAdhyAyadAnavratapuNyayògaisa; tapòdhanA vItazòkA vimuktAH || 3-184-22 ||

hk transliteration

तस्याथ मध्ये वेतसः पुण्यगन्धः; सहस्रशाखॊ विमलॊ विभाति तस्य मूलात सरितः परस्रवन्ति; मधूदक परस्रवणा रमण्यः ।। ३-१८४-२३ ।।

sanskrit

'Saraswati described, "In the middle of that realm, there is a sacred tree, fragrant with holiness, with countless branches that shine brilliantly. From its roots flow rivers, carrying sweet and pure water, which cascade joyfully, creating a delightful and serene environment."' ।। 3-184-23 ।।

english translation

tasyAtha madhye vetasaH puNyagandhaH; sahasrazAkhò vimalò vibhAti tasya mUlAta saritaH parasravanti; madhUdaka parasravaNA ramaNyaH || 3-184-23 ||

hk transliteration

शाखां शाखां महानद्यः संयान्ति सिकता समाः धाना पूपा मांसशाकाः सदा पायसकर्दमाः ।। ३-१८४-२४ ।।

sanskrit

'Saraswati continued, "Each branch of the tree has mighty rivers flowing from it, and they meet at their ends, where the waters are pure and serene. There are always abundant crops, sweet fruits, vegetables, and food offerings, along with milk porridge and other nourishing foods."' ।। 3-184-24 ।।

english translation

zAkhAM zAkhAM mahAnadyaH saMyAnti sikatA samAH dhAnA pUpA mAMsazAkAH sadA pAyasakardamAH || 3-184-24 ||

hk transliteration

यस्मिन्न अग्निमुखा देवाः सेन्द्राः सह मरुद्गणैः ईजिरे करतुभिः शरेष्ठैस तत पदं परमं मुने ।। ३-१८४-२५ ।।

sanskrit

'Saraswati said, "In that sacred place, where the deities, including Indra and the Maruts, offer their highest worship with the most excellent rites, that is the supreme path, O sage!"' ।। 3-184-25 ।।

english translation

yasminna agnimukhA devAH sendrAH saha marudgaNaiH Ijire karatubhiH zareSThaisa tata padaM paramaM mune || 3-184-25 ||
