धर्मः परः पाण्डव राज्यलाभात; तस्यार्थम आहुस तप एव राजन सत्यार्जवाभ्यां चरता सवधर्मं; जितस तवायं च परश च लॊकः ।। ३-१८०-१६ ।।

'He said, "O King, virtue is superior to the acquisition of kingdoms; in fact, it is the practice of austerities. By following your prescribed duties with truth and integrity, you have secured both this world and the next."' ।। 3-180-16 ।।

english translation

dharmaH paraH pANDava rAjyalAbhAta; tasyArthama Ahusa tapa eva rAjana satyArjavAbhyAM caratA savadharmaM; jitasa tavAyaM ca paraza ca lòkaH || 3-180-16 ||
