स ददर्श शुभान देशान गिरेर हिमवतस तदा देवर्षिसिद्धचरितान अप्सरॊगणसेवितान ॥ ३-१७५-६ ॥

'Then he beheld enchanting spots in the Himalayan mountains, frequented by divine sages and Siddhas, and inhabited by hosts of Apsaras.' ॥ 3-175-6 ॥

sa dadarza zubhAna dezAna girera himavatasa tadA devarSisiddhacaritAna apsarògaNasevitAna ॥ 3-175-6 ॥

चकॊरैश चक्रवाकैश च पक्षिभिर जीव जीविकैः कॊलिकैर भृङ्गराजैश च तत्र तत्र विनादितान ॥ ३-१७५-७ ॥

'The air was filled with the melodies of birds—the Chakora, Chakrabaka, Jibajibaka, cuckoo, and Bhringaraja.' ॥ 3-175-7 ॥

'The land was lush with shady trees, softened by the touch of snow, pleasing to both the eye and the mind, and abundant with ever-bearing fruits and flowers.' ॥ 3-175-8 ॥

स संपश्यन गिरिनदीर वैडूद्य मणिसंनिभैः सलिलैर हिमसंस्पर्शैर हंसकारण्डवायुतैः ॥ ३-१७५-९ ॥

'And he beheld mountain streams, their waters gleaming like lapis lazuli, teeming with thousands of snow-white ducks and swans.' ॥ 3-175-9 ॥

वनानि देवदारूणां मेघानाम इव वागुराः हरिचन्दन मिश्राणि तुङ्गकालीयकान्य अपि ॥ ३-१७५-१० ॥

'The forests of deodar trees seemed to trap the clouds, while the areas of Tugna and Kalikaya, interspersed with yellow sandalwood trees, added to the charm.' ॥ 3-175-10 ॥
