धाराणां च निपातेन वायॊर विस्फूर्जितेन च गर्जितेन च दैत्यानां न पराज्ञायत किं चन ॥ ३-१६८-६ ॥
'Amidst the pouring rain, the howling wind, and the thunderous roars of the Daityas, nothing could be discerned.' ॥ 3-168-6 ॥

dhArANAM ca nipAtena vAyòra visphUrjitena ca garjitena ca daityAnAM na parAjJAyata kiM cana ॥ 3-168-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधारा दिवि च संबद्धा वसुधायां च सर्वशः वयामॊहयन्त मां तत्र निपतन्त्यॊ ऽनिशं भुवि ॥ ३-१६८-७ ॥
'Reaching both the heavens and the earth, the incessant downpour, falling relentlessly to the ground, left me utterly bewildered.' ॥ 3-168-7 ॥

dhArA divi ca saMbaddhA vasudhAyAM ca sarvazaH vayAmòhayanta mAM tatra nipatantyò 'nizaM bhuvi ॥ 3-168-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्रॊपदिष्टम इन्द्रेण दिव्यम अस्त्रं विशॊषणम दीप्तं पराहिणवं घॊरम अशुष्यत तेन तज जलम ॥ ३-१६८-८ ॥
'Thereupon, I unleashed the dreadful and blazing celestial weapon, Visoshana, taught to me by Indra, and with its power, the waters were dried up.' ॥ 3-168-8 ॥

tatròpadiSTama indreNa divyama astraM vizòSaNama dIptaM parAhiNavaM ghòrama azuSyata tena taja jalama ॥ 3-168-8 ॥

'O Bharata, after the rain of rocks was vanquished and the torrents dried up, the Danavas unleashed their illusions, conjuring fire and wind.' ॥ 3-168-9 ॥

'Then, using celestial water weapons, I extinguished the flames, and with a powerful rock-born arm, I resisted the fury of the winds.' ॥ 3-168-10 ॥
