ततॊ देवाः सर्व एव तेन घॊषेण बॊधितः मन्वाना देवराजं मां समाजग्मुर विशां पते दृष्ट्वा च माम अपृच्छन्त किं करिष्यसि फल्गुन ॥ ३-१६५-१६ ॥
'And, O ruler of men, startled by the rattling of the chariot, all the celestials approached, mistaking me for the king of the gods. Upon seeing me, they asked, 'O Phalguna, what are you going to do?'' ॥ 3-165-16 ॥

तान अब्रुवं यथा भूतम इदं कर्तास्मि संयुगे निवातकवचानां तु परस्थितं मां वधैषिणम निबॊधत महाभागाः शिवं चाशास्त मे ऽनघाः ॥ ३-१६५-१७ ॥
'I told them what had occurred, saying, 'I shall indeed do this in battle. O fortunate ones, know that I have set out with the intent to slay the Nivata-Kavachas. O sinless ones, bless me.'' ॥ 3-165-17 ॥

तुष्टुवुर मां परसन्नास ते यथा देवं पुरंदरम रथेनानेन मघवा जितवाञ शम्बरं युधि नमुचिं बलवृत्रौ च परह्लाद नरकाव अपि ॥ ३-१६५-१८ ॥
'Thereupon, they began to praise me as they would praise the god Purandara. They said, 'Riding in this chariot, Maghavan conquered in battle Samvara, Namuchi, Vala, Vritra, Prahlada, and Naraka.'' ॥ 3-165-18 ॥

बहूनि च सहस्राणि परयुतान्य अर्बुदानि च रथेनानेन दैत्यानां जितवान मघवान युधि ॥ ३-१६५-१९ ॥
'And mounted on this chariot, Maghavan had conquered in battle countless thousands, millions, and hundreds of millions of Daityas.' ॥ 3-165-19 ॥
english translation
तवम अप्य एतेन कौन्तेय निवातकवचान रणे विजेता युधि विक्रम्य पुरेव मघवान वशी ॥ ३-१६५-२० ॥
'And, O Kaunteya, riding on this chariot, you shall, by your prowess, defeat the Nivata-Kavachas in battle, just as the self-controlled Maghavan did in days of yore.' ॥ 3-165-20 ॥
