परविश्य तां पुरीं रम्यां देवगन्धर्वसेविताम देवराजं सहस्राक्षम उपातिष्ठं कृताञ्जलिः ॥ ३-१६४-५१ ॥
'Then, entering that enchanting city, adored by the Gandharvas and the celestials, I stood with folded hands before the thousand-eyed lord of the gods.' ॥ 3-164-51 ॥
english translation
ददाव अर्धासनं परीतः शक्रॊ मे ददतां वरः बहुमानाच च गात्राणि पस्पर्श मम वासवः ॥ ३-१६४-५२ ॥
'Then, the supreme giver, with great delight, offered me half of his seat; and Vasava, with respect, touched my person.' ॥ 3-164-52 ॥
english translation
तत्राहं देवगन्धर्वैः सहितॊ भुरि दक्षिण अस्त्रार्थम अवसं सवर्गे कुर्वाणॊ सत्राणि भारत ॥ ३-१६४-५३ ॥
'O Bharata, with the aim of acquiring arms and mastering weapons, I began to reside in heaven, alongside the gods and the benevolent Gandharvas.' ॥ 3-164-53 ॥
english translation
विश्वावसॊश च मे पुत्रश चित्रसेनॊ ऽभवत सखा स च गान्धर्वम अखिलं गराहयाम आस मां नृप ॥ ३-१६४-५४ ॥
'Viswavana's son, Chitrasena, became my companion. And he, O King, imparted to me the complete knowledge of the Gandharvas.' ॥ 3-164-54 ॥
english translation
ततॊ ऽहम अवसं राजन गृहीतास्त्रः सुपूजितः सुखं शक्रस्य भवने सर्वकामसमन्वितः ॥ ३-१६४-५५ ॥
'And, O monarch, I lived happily in Sakra's abode, well cared for and with all my desires fulfilled.' ॥ 3-164-55 ॥
