ऊर्ध्वबाहुश चतुर्थं तु मासम अस्मि सथितस तदा न च मे हीयते पराणस तद अद्भुतम इवाभवत ॥ ३-१६३-१६ ॥
'In the fourth month, I remained with my arms raised, and it was a wonder that I did not lose any strength.' ॥ 3-163-16 ॥
english translation
UrdhvabAhuza caturthaM tu mAsama asmi sathitasa tadA na ca me hIyate parANasa tada adbhutama ivAbhavata ॥ 3-163-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचतुर्थे समतिक्रान्ते परथमे दिवसे गते वराहसंस्थितं भूतं मत्समीपम उपागमत ॥ ३-१६३-१७ ॥
'And it came to pass that when the first day of the fifth month had passed, a being appeared before me in the form of a boar.' ॥ 3-163-17 ॥

caturthe samatikrAnte parathame divase gate varAhasaMsthitaM bhUtaM matsamIpama upAgamata ॥ 3-163-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनिघ्नन परॊथेन पृथिवीं विलिखंश चरणैर अपि संमार्जञ जठरेणॊर्वीं विवर्तंश च मुहुर मुहुः ॥ ३-१६३-१८ ॥
'It was turning up the earth with its mouth, stamping the ground with its feet, rubbing its breast against the earth, and moving about in a terrifying manner.' ॥ 3-163-18 ॥

nighnana paròthena pRthivIM vilikhaMza caraNaira api saMmArjaJa jaThareNòrvIM vivartaMza ca muhura muhuH ॥ 3-163-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअनु तस्यापरं भूतं महत कैरात संस्थितम धनुर बाणासिमत पराप्तं सत्रीगणानुगतं तदा ॥ ३-१६३-१९ ॥
'And following him was a great being in the guise of a hunter, equipped with a bow, arrows, and a sword, surrounded by women.' ॥ 3-163-19 ॥

anu tasyAparaM bhUtaM mahata kairAta saMsthitama dhanura bANAsimata parAptaM satrIgaNAnugataM tadA ॥ 3-163-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ ऽहं धनुर आदाय तथाक्षय्यौ महेषुधी अताडयं शरेणाथ तद भूतं लॊमहर्षणम ॥ ३-१६३-२० ॥
'Thereupon, taking my bow and the two inexhaustible quivers, I struck that terrible and frightful creature with arrows.' ॥ 3-163-20 ॥
