ततः परमकं बरह्म या गतिर यॊगिनां परा आत्मा च सर्वभूतानां शुक्लॊ नारायणस तदा ॥ ३-१४८-१६ ॥
'For this reason, the ultimate refuge of the Yogis, the Supreme Brahman, was accessible to all. And Narayana, shining with a white radiance, was the soul of all beings.' ॥ 3-148-16 ॥
english translation
tataH paramakaM barahma yA gatira yòginAM parA AtmA ca sarvabhUtAnAM zuklò nArAyaNasa tadA ॥ 3-148-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबराह्मणाः कषत्रिया वैश्याः शूद्राश च कृतलक्षणाः कृते युगे समभवन सवकर्मनिरताः परजाः ॥ ३-१४८-१७ ॥
'In the Krita Yuga, the distinctive qualities of Brahmanas, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras were inherent, and each adhered faithfully to their respective duties.' ॥ 3-148-17 ॥
english translation
barAhmaNAH kaSatriyA vaizyAH zUdrAza ca kRtalakSaNAH kRte yuge samabhavana savakarmaniratAH parajAH ॥ 3-148-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसमाश्रमं समाचारं समज्ञानमती बलम तदा हि समकर्माणॊ वर्णा धर्मान अवाप्नुवन ॥ ३-१४८-१८ ॥
'At that time, with equal residence, equal conduct, equal knowledge, and equal mental strength, the different social classes (varnas) obtained their respective dharmas (duties/righteous paths) through harmonious actions.' ॥ 3-148-18 ॥

samAzramaM samAcAraM samajJAnamatI balama tadA hi samakarmANò varNA dharmAna avApnuvana ॥ 3-148-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएकवेद समायुक्ता एकमन्त्रविधिक्रियाः पृथग धर्मास तव एकवेदा धर्मम एकम अनुव्रताः ॥ ३-१४८-१९ ॥
'They meditated on a single, unified Soul, with only one mantra (Om) and one ordinance. Despite their differing characteristics, all followed the same Veda and adhered to one religion.' ॥ 3-148-19 ॥

ekaveda samAyuktA ekamantravidhikriyAH pRthaga dharmAsa tava ekavedA dharmama ekama anuvratAH ॥ 3-148-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचातुराश्रम्ययुक्तेन कर्मणा कालयॊगिना अकाम फलसंयॊगात पराप्नुवन्ति परां गतिम ॥ ३-१४८-२० ॥
'Guided by the divisions of time, they lived the four stages of life, without attachment to any material goal, and thus attained liberation.' ॥ 3-148-20 ॥
