न तत्र धर्माः सीदन्ति न कषीयन्ते च वै परजाः ततः कृतयुगं नाम कालेन गुणतां गतम ॥ ३-१४८-११ ॥
'In that age, virtue never declined, nor did the people diminish in strength or numbers. For this reason, it was called the Krita Yuga, the age of perfection.' ॥ 3-148-11 ॥
english translation
na tatra dharmAH sIdanti na kaSIyante ca vai parajAH tataH kRtayugaM nAma kAlena guNatAM gatama ॥ 3-148-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवदानवगन्धर्वयक्षराक्षस पन्नगाः नासन कृतयुगे तात तदा न करय विक्रयाः ॥ ३-१४८-१२ ॥
'However, with time, the Yuga came to be regarded as less ideal. O child, during the Krita Yuga, there were no gods, demons, Gandharvas, Yakshas, Rakshasas, or Nagas. And there was no buying and selling.' ॥ 3-148-12 ॥
english translation
devadAnavagandharvayakSarAkSasa pannagAH nAsana kRtayuge tAta tadA na karaya vikrayAH ॥ 3-148-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन सामयजुृग्वर्णाः करिया नासीच च मानवी अभिध्याय फलं तत्र धर्मः संन्यास एव च ॥ ३-१४८-१३ ॥
'In that age, the Sama, Rig, and Yajur Vedas did not exist, nor was there any need for manual labor. The necessities of life were obtained through mere thought, and the highest virtue lay in renunciation.' ॥ 3-148-13 ॥
english translation
na sAmayajuRgvarNAH kariyA nAsIca ca mAnavI abhidhyAya phalaM tatra dharmaH saMnyAsa eva ca ॥ 3-148-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन तस्मिन युगसंसर्गे वयाधयॊ नेन्द्रिय कषयः नासूया नापि रुदितं न दर्पॊ नापि पैशुनम ॥ ३-१४८-१४ ॥
'During the Krita Yuga, there was no disease or decay of the senses, nor were there malice, pride, hypocrisy, discord, ill-will, cunning, fear, misery, envy, or greed.' ॥ 3-148-14 ॥

na tasmina yugasaMsarge vayAdhayò nendriya kaSayaH nAsUyA nApi ruditaM na darpò nApi paizunama ॥ 3-148-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन विग्रहः कुतस तन्द्री न दवेषॊ नापि वै कृतम न भयं न च संतापॊ न चेर्ष्या न च मत्सरः ॥ ३-१४८-१५ ॥
No fear, no anguish, no envy, and no jealousy.' ॥ 3-148-15 ॥
english translation
na vigrahaH kutasa tandrI na daveSò nApi vai kRtama na bhayaM na ca saMtApò na cerSyA na ca matsaraH ॥ 3-148-15 ॥
