ततः पूर्वॊत्तरॊ वायुः पवमानॊ यदृच्छया सहस्रपत्रम अर्काभं दिव्यं पद्मम उदावहत ॥ ३-१४६-६ ॥
'Then, from the northeast, the wind, moving freely (or by chance), carried a divine lotus with a thousand petals, radiant like the sun.' ॥ 3-146-6 ॥
english translation
tataH pUrvòttarò vAyuH pavamAnò yadRcchayA sahasrapatrama arkAbhaM divyaM padmama udAvahata ॥ 3-146-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतद अपश्यत पाञ्चाली दिव्यगन्धं मनॊरमम अनिलेनाहृतं भूमौ पतितं जलजं शुचि ॥ ३-१४६-७ ॥
'Then Pāñcālī (Draupadi) saw a divine, fragrant, and enchanting lotus, pure and water-born, brought down to the ground by the wind.' ॥ 3-146-7 ॥
english translation
tada apazyata pAJcAlI divyagandhaM manòramama anilenAhRtaM bhUmau patitaM jalajaM zuci ॥ 3-146-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतच छुभाशुभम आसाद्य सौगन्धिकम अनुत्तमम अतीव मुदिता राजन भीमसेनम अथाब्रवीत ॥ ३-१४६-८ ॥
'Seeing that extraordinary Saugandhika lotus, embodying both auspiciousness and splendor, Draupadi was overjoyed. Turning to Bhimasena, she spoke with delight.' ॥ 3-146-8 ॥

taca chubhAzubhama AsAdya saugandhikama anuttamama atIva muditA rAjana bhImasenama athAbravIta ॥ 3-146-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपश्य दिव्यं सुरुचिरं भीम पुष्पम अनुत्तमम गन्धसंस्थान संपन्नं मनसॊ मम नन्दनम ॥ ३-१४६-९ ॥
'Behold, O Bhima, this exquisite, otherworldly flower, emanating a divine fragrance. It fills my heart with joy, O subduer of foes.' ॥ 3-146-9 ॥

pazya divyaM suruciraM bhIma puSpama anuttamama gandhasaMsthAna saMpannaM manasò mama nandanama ॥ 3-146-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतत तु धर्मराजाय परदास्यामि परंतप हरेर इदं मे कामाय काम्यके पुनर आश्रमे ॥ ३-१४६-१० ॥
'This, O scorcher of foes, I shall offer to Dharmaraja. In the Kamyaka forest, this divine flower shall fulfill my heart's desire.' ॥ 3-146-10 ॥

etata tu dharmarAjAya paradAsyAmi paraMtapa harera idaM me kAmAya kAmyake punara Azrame ॥ 3-146-10 ॥
