[वै] तत्र ते पुरुषव्याघ्राः परमं शौचम आस्थिताः सॊ रात्रम अवसन वीरा धनंजय दिदृक्षया तस्मिन विहरमाणाश च रममाणाश च पाण्डवाः ॥ ३-१४६-१ ॥
'Vaiśampāyana said: "Observing strict cleanliness, those tigers among men dwelt there for six nights, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Dhananjaya. Then, suddenly, a breeze from the northeast carried with it a celestial lotus, radiant with a thousand petals and glowing like the sun."' ॥ 3-146-1 ॥

मनॊज्ञे काननवरे सर्वभूतमनॊरमे पादपैः पुष्पविकचैः फलभारावनामितैः ॥ ३-१४६-२ ॥
'In that delightful, excellent forest that charmed all beings, With trees blossoming with flowers and bending under the weight of fruits.' ॥ 3-146-2 ॥

शॊभितं सर्वतॊ रम्यैः पुंस्कॊकिल कुलाकुलैः सनिग्धपत्रैर अविरलैः शीतछायैर मनॊरमैः ॥ ३-१४६-३ ॥
'Beautified all around by lovely male cuckoo birds in abundance, With glossy and dense foliage providing cool shade, delightful to the mind.' ॥ 3-146-3 ॥

सरांसि च विचित्राणि परसन्नसलिलानि च कमलैः सॊत्पलैस तत्र भराजमानानि सर्वशः पश्यन्तश चारुरूपाणि रेमिरे तत्र पाण्डवाः ॥ ३-१४६-४ ॥
'And there were various lakes with clear/pleasant waters, Shining everywhere with lotuses and blue water lilies (utpala), The Pandavas delighted in watching these beautiful sights.' ॥ 3-146-4 ॥

पुण्यगन्धः सुखस्पर्शॊ ववौ तत्र समीरणः हलादयन पाण्डवान सर्वान सकृष्णान सद्विजर्षभान ॥ ३-१४६-५ ॥
'There blew a wind of sacred fragrance and pleasant touch, delighting the Pandavas, Krishna, and the best of twice-born (brahmins).' ॥ 3-146-5 ॥
