असंख्येयास तु कौन्तेय यक्षराक्षस किंनराः नागाः सुपर्णा गन्धर्वाः कुबेर सदनं परति ॥ ३-१४०-११ ॥
'And, O son of Kunti, countless gods, Yakshas, Rakshasas, Kinnaras, Nagas, Suparnas, and Gandharvas pass this way on their way to Kuvera's palace.' ॥ 3-140-11 ॥

तान विगाहस्व पार्थाद्य तपसा च दमेन च रक्ष्यमाणॊ मया राजन भीमसेनबलेन च ॥ ३-१४०-१२ ॥
'O king, under my protection, as well as by the strength of Bhimasena and your own asceticism and self-control, do you join them today.' ॥ 3-140-12 ॥

सवस्ति ते वरुणॊ राजा यमश च समितिंजयः गङ्गा च यमुना चैव पर्वतश च दधातु ते ॥ ३-१४०-१३ ॥
'May King Varuna, Yama the conqueror of battles, Ganga, Yamuna, this mountain, the Maruts, the twin Ashvins, and all rivers and lakes grant you safety.' ॥ 3-140-13 ॥

इन्द्रस्य जाम्बूनदपर्वताग्रे; शृणॊमि घॊषं तव देवि गङ्गे गॊपाययेमं सुभगे गिरिभ्यः; सर्वाजमीधापचितं नरेन्द्रम भवस्व शर्म परविविक्षतॊ ऽसय; शैलान इमाञ शैलसुते नृपस्य ॥ ३-१४०-१४ ॥
'O Goddess Ganga, from this golden peak sacred to Indra, I hear your majestic roar. O divine bearer of great fortune, protect this king of the Ajamidha lineage as he traverses these mountainous realms. O daughter of the Himalayas, as this noble king ventures into these rugged heights, grant him your divine protection.' ॥ 3-140-14 ॥

[य] अपूर्वॊ ऽयं संभ्रमॊ लॊमशस्य; कृष्णां सर्वे रक्षत मां परसादम देशॊ हय अयं दुर्ग तमॊ मतॊ ऽसय; तस्मात परं शौचम इहाचरध्वम ॥ ३-१४०-१५ ॥
'Yudhishthira said, "Lomasa's concern is truly unprecedented. Therefore, ensure Krishna's safety and remain vigilant. Lomasa considers this place exceedingly perilous. Hence, maintain the utmost discipline and purity in your conduct here."' ॥ 3-140-15 ॥
