इन्द्रस्य जाम्बूनदपर्वताग्रे; शृणॊमि घॊषं तव देवि गङ्गे गॊपाययेमं सुभगे गिरिभ्यः; सर्वाजमीधापचितं नरेन्द्रम भवस्व शर्म परविविक्षतॊ ऽसय; शैलान इमाञ शैलसुते नृपस्य ।। ३-१४०-१४ ।।

sanskrit

'O Goddess Ganga, from this golden peak sacred to Indra, I hear your majestic roar. O divine bearer of great fortune, protect this king of the Ajamidha lineage as he traverses these mountainous realms. O daughter of the Himalayas, as this noble king ventures into these rugged heights, grant him your divine protection.' ।। 3-140-14 ।।

english translation

indrasya jAmbUnadaparvatAgre; zRNòmi ghòSaM tava devi gaGge gòpAyayemaM subhage giribhyaH; sarvAjamIdhApacitaM narendrama bhavasva zarma paravivikSatò 'saya; zailAna imAJa zailasute nRpasya || 3-140-14 ||
