परीतास तस्याभवन देवाः कर्मणार्वावसॊर नृप तं ते परवरयाम आसुर निरासुश च परावसुम ॥ ३-१३९-१६ ॥
'The celestials, O king, were greatly pleased with Arvavasu for his actions. They appointed him as the chief priest for the sacrifice of Vrihadyumna, while Paravasu was dismissed from it.' ॥ 3-139-16 ॥
english translation
ततॊ देवा वरं तस्मै ददुर अग्निपुरॊगमाः स चापि वरयाम आस पितुर उत्थानम आत्मनः ॥ ३-१३९-१७ ॥
'Then Agni and the other celestial beings, of their own accord, granted boons to Arvavasu. They also prayed for the restoration of his father to life.' ॥ 3-139-17 ॥
english translation
अनागस्त्वं तथा भरातुः पितुश चास्मरणं वधे भरद्वाजस्य चॊत्थानं यवक्रीतस्य चॊभयॊः ॥ ३-१३९-१८ ॥
'He further prayed that his brother might be absolved of his sin, that his father might forget his death, that both Bharadwaja and Yavakri be restored to life, and that the solar revelation might gain renown on earth.' ॥ 3-139-18 ॥

ततः परादुर्बभूवुस ते सर्व एव युधिष्ठिर अथाब्रवीद यवक्रीतॊ देवान अग्निपुरॊगमान ॥ ३-१३९-१९ ॥
'Then all the celestials, including the gods and Agni, appeared before Yudhishthira, and Yavakri, addressing them, spoke as follows.' ॥ 3-139-19 ॥

समधीतं मया बरह्म वरतानि चरितानि च कथं नु रैभ्यः शक्तॊ माम अधीयानं तपॊ विनम तथायुक्तेन विधिना निहन्तुम अमरॊत्तमाः ॥ ३-१३९-२० ॥
'Yavakri then spoke to Agni and the other celestial beings, saying, "I had mastered all the Vedas and diligently practiced penance. How, then, did Raivya, with all his virtue, succeed in slaying me in this manner, O chiefs of the immortals?"' ॥ 3-139-20 ॥
