बराह्मणानां किलार्थाय ननु तवं तप्तवांस तपः दविजानाम अनधीता वै वेदाः संप्रतिभान्त्व इति ॥ ३-१३८-१० ॥

sanskrit

'He said, "O my son, it was for the welfare of the Brahmanas that you practiced penances, with the intention that the Vedas, though not studied by any Brahmana, might be revealed to you."' ।। 3-138-10 ।।

english translation

barAhmaNAnAM kilArthAya nanu tavaM taptavAMsa tapaH davijAnAma anadhItA vai vedAH saMpratibhAntva iti ॥ 3-138-10 ॥
