बन्धिष्ये सेतुना गङ्गां सुखः पन्था भविष्यति कलिश्यते हि जनस तात तरमाणः पुनः पुनः ॥ ३-१३५-३६ ॥
'Indra said, "I am attempting, O my son, to dam the Ganga so that a convenient passage may be created. People face great difficulty in crossing and recrossing the river by boat."' ॥ 3-135-36 ॥
