दविजानाम अनधीता वै वेदाः सुरगरार्चित परतिभान्त्व इति तप्ये ऽहम इदं परमकं तपः ॥ ३-१३५-१९ ॥
'Yavakri said, "O you who are revered by the celestial beings, I am undergoing these severe penances with the desire that the knowledge of the Vedas, such as no Brahmana has ever acquired, may be revealed to me.'' ॥ 3-135-19 ॥
