अस्तावक्रः समितौ गर्जमानॊ; जातक्रॊधॊ बन्दिनम आह राजन उक्ते वाक्ये चॊत्तरं मे बरवीहि; वाक्यस्य चाप्य उत्तरं ते बरवीमि ॥ ३-१३४-६ ॥
'And as Indra is supreme among the celestials, and the Ganga is the greatest of rivers, so, O king, thou alone art the greatest of monarchs. Therefore, I ask thee, bring Vandin before me.' ॥ 3-134-6 ॥
