संपीड्यमाना तु तदा सुजाता; विवर्धमानेन सुतेन कुक्षौ उवाच भर्तारम इदं रहॊगता; परसाद्य हीनं वसुना धनार्थिनी ॥ ३-१३२-११ ॥
'Meanwhile, Sujātā, distressed by the child's condition in the womb and desiring wealth, sought to appease her husband, who had little fortune. She spoke to him in private, saying: Please, my dear, grant me your favor, for I am troubled by the lack of wealth.'' ॥ 3-132-11 ॥
