एषा शम्य एकपत्रा सा शरकं चैतद उत्तमम पश्य रामह्रदान एतान पश्य नारायणाश्रयम ॥ ३-१२९-६ ॥
'This is the Sami tree, bearing but a single leaf, and here lies a most excellent lake. Witness the lakes of Parasurama and the hermitage of Narayana.' ॥ 3-129-6 ॥
english translation
eSA zamya ekapatrA sA zarakaM caitada uttamama pazya rAmahradAna etAna pazya nArAyaNAzrayama ॥ 3-129-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतद आर्चीक पुत्रस्य यॊगैर विचरतॊ महीम अपसर्पणं महीपाल रौप्यायाम अमितौजसः ॥ ३-१२९-७ ॥
'O protector of the earth! This is the path followed by Richika's son, endowed with immeasurable energy, who roamed the earth, performing yoga rites at the Raupya river.' ॥ 3-129-7 ॥
english translation
etada ArcIka putrasya yògaira vicaratò mahIma apasarpaNaM mahIpAla raupyAyAma amitaujasaH ॥ 3-129-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअत्रानुवंशं पठतः शृणु मे कुरुनन्दन उलूखलैर आभरणैः पिशाची यद अभाषत ॥ ३-१२९-८ ॥
'And, O joy of the Kuru tribe, listen to what a Pisacha woman, adorned with pestles as her ornaments, said to a Brahmana woman while I was reciting the genealogy here.' ॥ 3-129-8 ॥
english translation
atrAnuvaMzaM paThataH zRNu me kurunandana ulUkhalaira AbharaNaiH pizAcI yada abhASata ॥ 3-129-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयुगं धरे दधि पराश्य उषित्वा चाच्युतस्थले तद्वद भूतिलये सनात्वा सपुत्रा वस्तुम इच्छसि ॥ ३-१२९-९ ॥
'(She said), "Having eaten curd at Yugandhara, lived in Achutasthala, and bathed in Bhutilaya, you should now live with your sons.' ॥ 3-129-9 ॥
english translation
yugaM dhare dadhi parAzya uSitvA cAcyutasthale tadvada bhUtilaye sanAtvA saputrA vastuma icchasi ॥ 3-129-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएकरात्रम उषित्वेह दवितीयं यदि वत्स्यसि एतद वै ते दिवा वृत्तं रात्रौ वृत्तम अतॊ ऽनयथा ॥ ३-१२९-१० ॥
'After spending a single night here, if you choose to stay for the second, the events of the night will unfold differently from those of the day.' ॥ 3-129-10 ॥

ekarAtrama uSitveha davitIyaM yadi vatsyasi etada vai te divA vRttaM rAtrau vRttama atò 'nayathA ॥ 3-129-10 ॥
