धनुर आजगवं नाम शराः शृङ्गॊद्भवाश च ये अभेद्यं कवचं चैव सद्यस तम उपसंश्रयन ।। ३-१२६-३१ ।।

sanskrit

'And instantly, the famed bow named Ajagava, along with numerous shafts made of horn and an impenetrable suit of armor, all came into his possession on that very day.' ।। 3-126-31 ।।

english translation

dhanura AjagavaM nAma zarAH zRGgòdbhavAza ca ye abhedyaM kavacaM caiva sadyasa tama upasaMzrayana || 3-126-31 ||

hk transliteration

सॊ ऽभिषिक्तॊ मघवता सवयं शक्रेण भारत धर्मेण वयजयल लॊकांस तरीन विष्णुर इव विक्रमैः ।। ३-१२६-३२ ।।

sanskrit

'O scion of the Bharata dynasty! He was consecrated to the throne by Indra himself, and through his righteousness, he triumphed over the three worlds, much like Vishnu did with his three strides.' ।। 3-126-32 ।।

english translation

sò 'bhiSiktò maghavatA savayaM zakreNa bhArata dharmeNa vayajayala lòkAMsa tarIna viSNura iva vikramaiH || 3-126-32 ||

hk transliteration

तस्याप्रतिहतं चक्रं परावर्तत महात्मनः रत्नानि चैव राजर्षिं सवयम एवॊपतस्थिरे ।। ३-१२६-३३ ।।

sanskrit

'And the wheel of that mighty king’s chariot rolled irresistibly across the world. The gems, of their own accord, came into the possession of that saintly monarch.' ।। 3-126-33 ।।

english translation

tasyApratihataM cakraM parAvartata mahAtmanaH ratnAni caiva rAjarSiM savayama evòpatasthire || 3-126-33 ||

hk transliteration

तस्येयं वसुसंपूर्णा वसु धा वसु धाधिप तेनेष्टं विविधैर यज्ञैर बहुभिः सवाप्तदक्षिणैः ।। ३-१२६-३४ ।।

sanskrit

'This is the land, O lord of the earth, that belonged to him. It is abundant in wealth. He performed numerous sacrificial rites of various kinds, in which he offered generous gifts to the priests.' ।। 3-126-34 ।।

english translation

tasyeyaM vasusaMpUrNA vasu dhA vasu dhAdhipa teneSTaM vividhaira yajJaira bahubhiH savAptadakSiNaiH || 3-126-34 ||

hk transliteration

चित्तचैत्यॊ महातेजा धर्मं पराप्य च पुष्कलम शक्रस्यार्धासनं राजँल लब्धवान अमितद्युतिः ।। ३-१२६-३५ ।।

sanskrit

'O king! He of immense strength and boundless radiance set up sacred altars, performed magnificent pious deeds, and attained the honor of sitting at the side of Indra.' ।। 3-126-35 ।।

english translation

cittacaityò mahAtejA dharmaM parApya ca puSkalama zakrasyArdhAsanaM rAja~la labdhavAna amitadyutiH || 3-126-35 ||
