भराजसे वनमध्ये तवं विद्युत सौदामिनी यथा न देवेष्व अपि तुल्यां हि तवया पश्याव भामिनि ॥ ३-१२३-६ ॥
'Indeed, O shy maiden, you shine in this forest like a flash of lightning. Even among the celestial realms, we have not seen anyone like you.' ॥ 3-123-6 ॥
english translation
सर्वाभरणसंपन्ना परमाम्बर धारिणी शॊभेथास तव अनवद्याङ्गि न तव एवं मलपङ्किनी ॥ ३-१२३-७ ॥
'O damsel, though unadorned and lacking colorful garments, you enhance the beauty of this wood immensely.' ॥ 3-123-7 ॥
english translation
कस्माद एवंविधा भूत्वा जराजर्जरितं पतिम तवम उपास्से ह कल्याणि कामभॊग बहिष्कृतम ॥ ३-१२३-८ ॥
'Why, O exquisite maiden, do you serve a decrepit old husband, one who is unable to appreciate pleasure or provide for you?' ॥ 3-123-8 ॥
english translation
असमर्थं परित्राणे पॊषणे च शुचिस्मिते साधु चयवनम उत्सृज्य वरयस्वैकम आवयॊः पत्यर्थं देवगर्भाभे मा वृथा यौवनं कृथाः ॥ ३-१२३-९ ॥
'O divinely beautiful damsel, forsake Chyavana and choose one of us as your husband. It is not fitting for you to squander your youth in such a manner.' ॥ 3-123-9 ॥

एवम उक्ता सुकन्या तु सुरौ ताव इदम अब्रवीत रताहं चयवने पत्यौ मैवं मा पर्यशङ्किथाः ॥ ३-१२३-१० ॥
'In response, Sukanya said to the celestial beings, "I am unwaveringly devoted to my husband, Chyavana; let there be no doubt about my fidelity."' ॥ 3-123-10 ॥
