अयाचद अथ सैन्यार्थं पराञ्जलिः पृथिवीपतिः अज्ञानाद बालया यत ते कृतं तत कषन्तुम अर्हसि ॥ ३-१२२-२१ ॥
'The lord of the earth, with his hands joined in reverence, earnestly implored the sage, saying, "I beseech you to forgive my daughter, who, out of ignorance and youth, has wronged you."' ॥ 3-122-21 ॥
english translation
ततॊ ऽबरवीन महीपालं चयवनॊ भार्गवस तदा रूपौदार्यसमायुक्तां लॊभमॊहबलात कृताम ॥ ३-१२२-२२ ॥
'Chyavana, the son of Bhrigu, spoke to the king, saying, "Disregarding my presence, this proud one has pierced my eyes. Yet, O king, I would take your daughter as my bride, despite her beauty and the ignorance that led her to act in folly and temptation."' ॥ 3-122-22 ॥
english translation
ताम एव परतिगृह्याहं राजन दुहितरं तव कषमिष्यामि महीपाल सत्यम एतद बरवीमि ते ॥ ३-१२२-२३ ॥
'Taking her as my bride, O king, I will forgive your daughter. I speak this truthfully, for I will indeed accept her.' ॥ 3-122-23 ॥

ऋषेर वचनम आज्ञाय शर्यातिर अविचारयन ददौ दुहितरं तस्मै चयवनाय महात्मने ॥ ३-१२२-२४ ॥
'Lomasa said, "Upon hearing the sage's words, Saryati promptly bestowed his daughter upon the virtuous Chyavana"' ॥ 3-122-24 ॥

परतिगृह्य च तां कन्यां चयवनः परससाद ह पराप्तप्रसादॊ राजा स ससैन्यः पुनर आव्रजत ॥ ३-१२२-२५ ॥
'Having accepted the maiden, Chyavana was greatly pleased. The king, now gratified, along with his army, prepared to return.' ॥ 3-122-25 ॥
