हिरन मयीभिर गॊभिश च कृताभिर विश्वकर्मणा बराह्मणांस तर्पयाम आस नानादिग्भ्यः समागतान ।। ३-१२१-११ ।।

'The sculptor of the gods fashioned golden images of the goddess of speech, and the king honored the Brahmanas who had come from all directions by gifting them these golden effigies.' ।। 3-121-11 ।।

hirana mayIbhira gòbhiza ca kRtAbhira vizvakarmaNA barAhmaNAMsa tarpayAma Asa nAnAdigbhyaH samAgatAna || 3-121-11 ||

अल्पावशेषा पृथिवी चैत्यैर आसीन महात्मनः गयस्य यजमानस्य तत्र तत्र विशां पते ।। ३-१२१-१२ ।।

'O protector of humanity! When the noble Gaya conducted his sacrificial rites, he raised so many sacrificial altars in various locations that scarcely any space was left upon the earth's surface.' ।। 3-121-12 ।।

alpAvazeSA pRthivI caityaira AsIna mahAtmanaH gayasya yajamAnasya tatra tatra vizAM pate || 3-121-12 ||

स लॊकान पराप्तवान ऐन्द्रान कर्मणा तेन भारत स लॊकतां तस्य गच्छेत पयॊष्ण्यां य उपस्पृशेत ।। ३-१२१-१३ ।।

'And, O descendant of Bharata's line! By that sacred act, he attained the realms of Indra. Anyone who bathes in the river Payoshini will ascend to the same regions reached by Gaya.' ।। 3-121-13 ।।

sa lòkAna parAptavAna aindrAna karmaNA tena bhArata sa lòkatAM tasya gaccheta payòSNyAM ya upaspRzeta || 3-121-13 ||

तस्मात तवम अत्र राजेन्द्र भरातृभिः सहितॊ ऽनघ उपस्पृश्य महीपाल धूतपाप्मा भविष्यसि ।। ३-१२१-१४ ।।

'Therefore, O lord of kings! O steadfast prince! You and your brothers should immerse yourselves in this river; thus, O protector of the earth, you shall be liberated from all your sins.' ।। 3-121-14 ।।

tasmAta tavama atra rAjendra bharAtRbhiH sahitò 'nagha upaspRzya mahIpAla dhUtapApmA bhaviSyasi || 3-121-14 ||

[व] स पयॊष्ण्यां नरश्रेष्ठः सनात्वा वै भरातृभिः सह वैडूर्य पर्वतं चैव नर्मदां च महानदीम समाजगाम तेजॊ वी भरातृभिः सहितॊ ऽनघ ।। ३-१२१-१५ ।।

'Vaisampayana said, "O most esteemed among men! Yudhishthira, along with his brothers, took sacred baths in the river Payosini. Then, O virtuous prince, the mighty king journeyed with his brothers to the hill of sapphires and the great river Narmada.' ।। 3-121-15 ।।

[va] sa payòSNyAM narazreSThaH sanAtvA vai bharAtRbhiH saha vaiDUrya parvataM caiva narmadAM ca mahAnadIma samAjagAma tejò vI bharAtRbhiH sahitò 'nagha || 3-121-15 ||
