सत्रे समृद्धे ऽति रथस्य राज्ञॊ; वेदी तलाद उत्पतिता सुता या सेयं वनेवासम इमं सुदुःखं; कथं सहत्य अद्य सती सुखार्हा ॥ ३-११९-२० ॥

'The daughter of a king, renowned for her prowess as a mounted warrior, emerged from beneath the altar during the grandeur of sacrificial rites. She has always been accustomed to a life of luxury and happiness; how then can she endure this wretched existence in the woods?' ॥ 3-119-20 ॥

english translation

satre samRddhe 'ti rathasya rAjJò; vedI talAda utpatitA sutA yA seyaM vanevAsama imaM suduHkhaM; kathaM sahatya adya satI sukhArhA ॥ 3-119-20 ॥
