समेन देव यानेन पथा सवर्गम उपेयुसः अत्र वै ऋषयॊ ऽनये ऽपि पुरा करतुभिर ईजिरे ।। ३-११४-६ ।।

'This sacred spot rivals the path that a righteous man, destined for the heavens, takes to reach the abode of the gods.' ।। 3-114-6 ।।

english translation

samena deva yAnena pathA savargama upeyusaH atra vai RSayò 'naye 'pi purA karatubhira Ijire || 3-114-6 ||

'And it was precisely at this spot that the god Rudra, O king of kings, took possession of the sacrificial beast and proclaimed, 'This is my rightful portion!'' ।। 3-114-7 ।।

atraiva rudrò rAjendra pazuma AdattavAna makhe rudraH pazuM mAnavendra bhAgò 'yama iti cAbravIta || 3-114-7 ||

हृते पशौ तदा देवास तम ऊचुर भरतर्षभ मा परस्वम अभिद्रॊग्धा मा धर्मान सकलान नशीः ।। ३-११४-८ ।।

'O chief of the Bharata lineage, when the beast was taken away by Shiva, the gods addressed him, saying, 'Do not covet the possessions of others, for in doing so, you forsake all principles of righteousness.'' ।। 3-114-8 ।।

hRte pazau tadA devAsa tama Ucura bharatarSabha mA parasvama abhidrògdhA mA dharmAna sakalAna nazIH || 3-114-8 ||

ततः कल्याण रूपाभिर वाग्भिस ते रुद्रम अस्तुवन इष्ट्या चैनं तर्पयित्वा मानयां चक्रिरे तदा ।। ३-११४-९ ।।

'Then they offered words of sweet glorification to the god Rudra, satisfying him with sacrifices and honoring him appropriately.' ।। 3-114-9 ।।

tataH kalyANa rUpAbhira vAgbhisa te rudrama astuvana iSTyA cainaM tarpayitvA mAnayAM cakrire tadA || 3-114-9 ||
