हृते पशौ तदा देवास तम ऊचुर भरतर्षभ मा परस्वम अभिद्रॊग्धा मा धर्मान सकलान नशीः ॥ ३-११४-८ ॥
'O chief of the Bharata lineage, when the beast was taken away by Shiva, the gods addressed him, saying, 'Do not covet the possessions of others, for in doing so, you forsake all principles of righteousness.'' ॥ 3-114-8 ॥
