अयात यामं सर्वेभ्यॊ भागेभ्यॊ भागम उत्तमम देवाः संकल्पयाम आसुर भयाद रुद्रस्य शाश्वतम ।। ३-११४-११ ।।

sanskrit

'Struck by the awe of Rudra, the gods reserved for him, forever, the choicest portion from all the offerings—fresh and untainted for the deity.' ।। 3-114-11 ।।

english translation

ayAta yAmaM sarvebhyò bhAgebhyò bhAgama uttamama devAH saMkalpayAma Asura bhayAda rudrasya zAzvatama || 3-114-11 ||

इमां गाथाम अत्र गायन अपः सपृशति यॊ नरः देव यानस तस्य पन्थाश चक्षुश चैव परकाशते ।। ३-११४-१२ ।।

'Whoever bathes at this sacred spot while recounting this ancient tale shall behold with their mortal eyes the path that leads to the realm of the gods.' ।। 3-114-12 ।।

[व] ततॊ वैतरणीं सर्वे पाण्डवा दरौपदी तथा अवतीर्य महाभागा तर्पयां चक्रिरे पितॄन ।। ३-११४-१३ ।।

'Vaisampayana said, 'Then all the sons of Pandu, along with the daughter of Drupada—who were all favored by Fate—descended into the river Vaitarani and offered libations in honor of their fathers.'' ।। 3-114-13 ।।

[va] tatò vaitaraNIM sarve pANDavA daraupadI tathA avatIrya mahAbhAgA tarpayAM cakrire pitRRna || 3-114-13 ||

'Yudhishthira said, "O Lomasa, what immense power lies in a righteous act! After bathing here in the prescribed manner, I feel as if I have transcended the realm of mortals!"' ।। 3-114-14 ।।

'By your grace/blessing, O virtuous one, I see/perceive all the worlds; This is the sound/chant of the great-souled Vaikhanasa sages who are engaged in meditation/japa.' ।। 3-114-15 ।।

sarvA~la lòkAna parapazyAmi parasAdAta tava suvrata vaikhAnasAnAM japatAma eSa zabdò mahAtmanAma || 3-114-15 ||
