स लॊम पादः परिपूर्णकामः; सुतां ददाव ऋश्य शृङ्गाय शान्ताम करॊधप्रतीकार करं च चक्रे; गॊभिश च मार्गेष्व अभिकर्षणं च ॥ ३-११३-११ ॥
'And Lomapada, having fulfilled the desire of his heart, bestowed his daughter Santa in marriage to Rishyasringa. To appease the wrath of his father, he commanded that cows be placed and fields plowed along the route Vibhandaka would take to reach his son.' ॥ 3-113-11 ॥

विभाण्डकस्याव्रजतः स राजा; पशून परभूतान पशुपांश च वीरान समादिशत पुत्र गृधी महर्षिर; विभाण्डकः परिपृच्छेद यदा वः ॥ ३-११३-१२ ॥
'As Vibhandaka was departing, that king Commanded many cattle and brave herdsmen (saying): 'When the sage Vibhandaka, eager for his son, Comes asking you .' ॥ 3-113-12 ॥

स वक्तव्यः पराञ्जलिभिर भवद्भिः; पुत्रस्य ते पशवः कर्षणं च किं ते परियं वै करियतां महर्षे; दासाः सम सर्वे तव वाचि बद्धाः ॥ ३-११३-१३ ॥
'When the great sage Vibhandaka inquires about his son, you must join your palms and tell him that these cattle and plowed fields belong to his son, and that you are his servants, ready to obey whatever he commands.' ॥ 3-113-13 ॥

अथॊपायात स मुनिश चण्डकॊपः; सवम आश्रमं फलमूलानि गृह्य अन्वेषमाणश च न तत्र पुत्रं; ददर्श चुक्रॊध ततॊ भृशं सः ॥ ३-११३-१४ ॥
'Now the sage, whose wrath was fierce, returned to his hermitage after gathering fruits and roots and searching for his son. Finding him absent, he became exceedingly enraged, tormented by anger, and suspected the king to be behind his son's disappearance.' ॥ 3-113-14 ॥

ततः स कॊपेन विदीर्यमाण; आशङ्कमानॊ नृपतेर विधानम जगाम चम्पां परदिदक्षमाणस; तम अङ्गराजं विषयं च तस्य ॥ ३-११३-१५ ॥
'Thus, he set his course toward the city of Champa, determined to destroy the king, his city, and all his lands. Along the way, feeling fatigued and hungry, he arrived at the very settlements of the cowherds, abundant with cattle.' ॥ 3-113-15 ॥
