ततः स कॊपेन विदीर्यमाण; आशङ्कमानॊ नृपतेर विधानम जगाम चम्पां परदिदक्षमाणस; तम अङ्गराजं विषयं च तस्य ॥ ३-११३-१५ ॥
'Thus, he set his course toward the city of Champa, determined to destroy the king, his city, and all his lands. Along the way, feeling fatigued and hungry, he arrived at the very settlements of the cowherds, abundant with cattle.' ॥ 3-113-15 ॥
