स वै शरान्तः कषुधितः काश्यपस तान; घॊषान समासादितवान समृद्धान गॊपैश च तैर विधिवत पूज्यमानॊ; राजेव तां रात्रिम उवाच तत्र ॥ ३-११३-१६ ॥
'He was honored appropriately by the cowherds and spent the night in a manner befitting a king. After receiving generous hospitality from them, he inquired of them, saying:' ॥ 3-113-16 ॥

संप्राप्य सत्कारम अतीव तेभ्यः; परॊवाच कस्य परथिताः सथ सौम्याः ऊचुर ततस ते ऽभयुपगम्य सर्वे; धनं तवेदं विहितं सुतस्य ॥ ३-११३-१७ ॥
'‘To whom do you belong, O cowherds?’ he asked. They all approached him and replied, ‘This wealth has been provided for your son.’' ॥ 3-113-17 ॥

देशे तु देशे तु स पूज्यमानस; तांश चैव शृण्वन मधुरान परलापान परशान्तभूयिष्ठ रजाः परहृष्टः; समाससादाङ्गपतिं पुरस्थम ॥ ३-११३-१८ ॥
'Being honored in region after region, And hearing those sweet conversations/words, With most of his fatigue gone and delighted, He approached the king of Anga who was in the city.' ॥ 3-113-18 ॥

संपूजितस तेन नरर्षभेण; ददर्श पुत्रं दिवि देवं यथेन्द्रम शान्तां सनुषां चैव ददर्श तत्र; सौदामिनीम उच्चरन्तीं यथैव ॥ ३-११३-१९ ॥
'He was honored in various places by that noble man and saw his son, who resembled Indra, the king of the heavens. He also beheld his daughter-in-law, Shanta, radiant like lightning emerging from a cloud.' ॥ 3-113-19 ॥

गरामांश च घॊषांश च सुतं च दृष्ट्वा; शान्तां च शान्तॊ ऽसय परः स कॊपः चकार तस्मै परमं परसादं; विभाण्डकॊ भूमिपतेर नरेन्द्र ॥ ३-११३-२० ॥
'Having seen the hamlets and cowpens prepared for his son, and having beheld Shanta, his intense resentment was calmed. O king of men! Vibhandaka expressed immense satisfaction with the ruler of the earth.' ॥ 3-113-20 ॥
