[विभान्द] रक्षांसि चैतानि चरन्ति पुत्र; रूपेण तेनाद्भुत दर्शनेन अतुल्यरूपाण्य अति घॊरवन्ति; विघ्नं सदा तपसश चिन्तयन्ति ।। ३-११३-१ ।।

sanskrit

'Vibhandaka said, "Those are, O son, the Rākṣasas! They wander about in their wonderfully beautiful forms. Their strength is unrivaled, and their allure is great. Always, they contemplate how to obstruct the practice of penances."' ।। 3-113-1 ।।

english translation

[vibhAnda] rakSAMsi caitAni caranti putra; rUpeNa tenAdbhuta darzanena atulyarUpANya ati ghòravanti; vighnaM sadA tapasaza cintayanti || 3-113-1 ||
