स चेद अवतरेद राजन विषयं ते महातपाः सद्यः परवर्षेत पर्जन्य इति मे नात्र संशयः ॥ ३-११०-२६ ॥
'O King! If he, renowned for his penance, were to come into your realm, rain would surely be bestowed from the heavens. I have no doubt about this.' ॥ 3-110-26 ॥
english translation
एतच छरुत्वा वचॊ राजन कृत्वा निस्कृतिम आत्मनः स गत्वा पुनर आगच्छत परसन्नेषु दविजातिषु राजानम आगतं दृष्ट्वा परतिसंजगृहुः परजाः ॥ ३-११०-२७ ॥
'And, O King! After hearing these words, Lomapada atoned for his sins and departed. Once the Brahmanas were appeased, he returned, and the people rejoiced at the sight of their king.' ॥ 3-110-27 ॥
english translation
ततॊ ऽङगपतिर आहूय सचिवान मन्त्रकॊविदान ऋश्य शृङ्गागमे यत्नम अकरॊन मन्त्रनिश्चये ॥ ३-११०-२८ ॥
'Then, the king of Anga called a meeting of his ministers, skilled in providing counsel. And he exerted himself greatly to devise a plan for securing a visit from Rishyasringa.' ॥ 3-110-28 ॥

सॊ ऽधयगच्छद उपायं तु तैर अमात्यैः सहाच्युतः शास्त्रज्ञैर अलम अर्थज्ञैर नीत्यां च परिनिष्ठितैः ॥ ३-११०-२९ ॥
'And, O steadfast prince! Together with those ministers—well-versed in all branches of knowledge, exceptionally skilled in worldly affairs, and thoroughly trained in practical matters—he finally devised a plan to achieve his goal.' ॥ 3-110-29 ॥

तत आनाययाम आस वार मुख्या महीपतिः वैश्याः सर्वत्र निष्णातास ता उवाच स पार्थिवः ॥ ३-११०-३० ॥
'Subsequently, he summoned a group of courtesans, townswomen adept in all arts. And when they arrived, that ruler of the earth spoke to them, saying ' ॥ 3-110-30 ॥
