[ल] विभाण्डकस्य बरह्मर्षेस तपसा भावितात्मनः अमॊघवीर्यस्य सतः परजापतिसमद्युतेः ।। ३-११०-११ ।।

sanskrit

'Lomasa said, "Listen to how Rishyasringa, of fearsome reputation, was born to Vibhandaka, a Brahmana sage who cultivated his spirit through religious austerities."' ।। 3-110-11 ।।

english translation

[la] vibhANDakasya barahmarSesa tapasA bhAvitAtmanaH amòghavIryasya sataH parajApatisamadyuteH || 3-110-11 ||

शृणु पुत्रॊ यथा जात ऋश्य शृङ्गः परतापवान महाह्रदे महातेजा बालः सथविर संमतः ।। ३-११०-१२ ।।

sanskrit

'His seed was never ineffective in generating life, and he shone with knowledge and brilliance like the Lord of Creation. The father was highly revered, and the son, despite being a boy, possessed a mighty spirit and earned the respect of the elderly.' ।। 3-110-12 ।।

english translation

zRNu putrò yathA jAta Rzya zRGgaH paratApavAna mahAhrade mahAtejA bAlaH sathavira saMmataH || 3-110-12 ||

महाह्रदं समासाद्य काश्यपस तपसि सथितः दीर्घकालं परिश्रान्त ऋषिर देवर्षिसंमतः ।। ३-११०-१३ ।।

'And that son of Kashyapa, Vibhandaka, went to a great lake and devoted himself to the practice of penance. This sage, comparable to a deity, toiled for a long time.' ।। 3-110-13 ।।

mahAhradaM samAsAdya kAzyapasa tapasi sathitaH dIrghakAlaM parizrAnta RSira devarSisaMmataH || 3-110-13 ||
