ते हि सर्वे नरव्याघ्राः शूरा विक्रान्तयॊधिनः सर्वे नागायुत पराणा वज्रसंहनना दृढाः ॥ ३-११-२१ ॥
'All those tigers among men are heroes of exceptional prowess in battle, endowed with the strength of ten thousand elephants and bodies as hard as thunderbolts.' ॥ 3-11-21 ॥
english translation
सत्यव्रतपराः सर्वे सर्वे पुरुषमानिनः हन्तारॊ देवशत्रूणां रक्षसां कामरूपिणाम हिडिम्बबकमुख्यानां किर्मीरस्य च रक्षसः ॥ ३-११-२२ ॥
'They are steadfast in their promises and proud of their valor. They have vanquished the enemies of the gods, such as the Rakshasas led by Hidimba and Kirmira, who could assume any form at will.' ॥ 3-11-22 ॥
english translation
इतः परच्यवतां रात्रौ यः स तेषां महात्मनाम आवृत्य मार्गं रौद्रात्मा तस्थौ गिरिर इवाचलः ॥ ३-११-२३ ॥
'When these high-souled warriors were on their journey, a fierce Rakshasa obstructed their path during the night, much like an immovable hill.' ॥ 3-11-23 ॥

तं भीमः समरश्लाघी बलेन बलिनां वरः जघान पशुमारेण वयाघ्रः कषुद्रमृगं यथा ॥ ३-११-२४ ॥
'Yet, just as a tiger would slay a small deer, Bhima, the strongest among them and always eager for battle, defeated that monstrous foe.' ॥ 3-11-24 ॥

पश्य दिग विजये राजन यथा भीमेन पातितः जरासंधॊ महेष्वासॊ नागायुत बलॊ युधि ॥ ३-११-२५ ॥
'Consider, O king, how Bhima, in his campaign of conquest, defeated the mighty Jarasandha, a warrior with the strength of ten thousand elephants.' ॥ 3-11-25 ॥
