कुशाकारेव दूर्वेयं संस्तीर्णेव च भूर इयम यूपप्रकारा बहवॊ वृक्षाश चेमे विशां पते ॥ ३-१०९-१६ ॥
'This grass resembles the sacred kusa grass, and the ground appears to be spread with it. O Lord of Men, many of these trees look like the posts for tying sacrificial animals.' ॥ 3-109-16 ॥
english translation
kuzAkAreva dUrveyaM saMstIrNeva ca bhUra iyama yUpaprakArA bahavò vRkSAza ceme vizAM pate ॥ 3-109-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवाश च ऋषयश चैव वसन्त्य अद्यापि भारत तेषां सायं तथा परातर दृश्यते हव्यवाहनः ॥ ३-१०९-१७ ॥
'O son of Bharata! The gods and sages still reside here, and their sacred fire can be seen in the morning and evening.' ॥ 3-109-17 ॥
english translation
devAza ca RSayaza caiva vasantya adyApi bhArata teSAM sAyaM tathA parAtara dRzyate havyavAhanaH ॥ 3-109-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइहाप्लुतानां कौन्तेय सद्यः पाप्मा विहन्यते कुरुश्रेष्ठाभिषेकं वै तस्मात कुरु सहानुजः ॥ ३-१०९-१८ ॥
'Here, if one bathes, their sins are immediately washed away. Therefore, O Kunti's son and most esteemed of the Kuru lineage, perform your ablutions along with your younger brothers.' ॥ 3-109-18 ॥
english translation
ihAplutAnAM kaunteya sadyaH pApmA vihanyate kuruzreSThAbhiSekaM vai tasmAta kuru sahAnujaH ॥ 3-109-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ नन्दाप्लुताङ्गस तवं कौशिकीम अभियास्यसि विश्वा मित्रेण यत्रॊग्रं तपस तप्तुम अनुत्तमम ॥ ३-१०९-१९ ॥
'After bathing in the waters of Nanda, you shall proceed to the Kausiki River, where the most excellent and rigorous penances were practiced by Vishwamitra.' ॥ 3-109-19 ॥

tatò nandAplutAGgasa tavaM kauzikIma abhiyAsyasi vizvA mitreNa yatrògraM tapasa taptuma anuttamama ॥ 3-109-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस तत्र समाप्लुत्य गात्राणि सगणॊ नृपः जगाम कौशिकीं पुण्यां रम्यां शिवजलां नदीम ॥ ३-१०९-२० ॥
'Then the king, along with his attendants, washed their bodies in the pure and delightful waters of the Kausiki, which was refreshing and invigorating.' ॥ 3-109-20 ॥

tatasa tatra samAplutya gAtrANi sagaNò nRpaH jagAma kauzikIM puNyAM ramyAM zivajalAM nadIma ॥ 3-109-20 ॥
