[लॊमष] एषा देव नदी पुण्या कौशिकी भरतर्षभ विश्वा मित्राश्रमॊ रम्यॊ एष चात्र परकाशते ॥ ३-११०-१ ॥
'Lomasa said, “This is the sacred river Kausiki, O chief of Bharata’s race, and here stands the delightful and distinguished hermitage of Vishvamitra.”' ॥ 3-110-1 ॥
english translation
आश्रमश चैव पुण्याख्यः काश्यपस्य महात्मनः ऋश्य शृङ्गः सुतॊ यस्य तपॊ वी संयतेन्द्रियः ॥ ३-११०-२ ॥
'And here is the revered hermitage of the great sage Kashyapa, renowned for its sanctity. His son, Rishyasringa, devoted to intense penance and with his passions well controlled.' ॥ 3-110-2 ॥
english translation
तपसॊ यः परभावेन वर्षयाम आस वासवम अनावृष्ट्यां भयाद यस्य ववर्ष बलवृत्र हा ॥ ३-११०-३ ॥
'Through the force of his penance, he compelled Indra, the slayer of Vala and Vritra, to bring rain. Fearing his power, the god poured down rain during a time of drought.' ॥ 3-110-3 ॥
english translation
मृग्यां जातः स तेजॊ वी काश्यपस्य सुतः परभुः विषये लॊम पादस्य यश चकाराद्भुतं महत ॥ ३-११०-४ ॥
'That powerful and radiant son of Kashyapa, born of a deer, performed a remarkable feat in the kingdom of Lomapada.' ॥ 3-110-4 ॥
english translation
निवर्तितेषु सस्येषु यस्मै शान्तां ददौ नृपः लॊम पादॊ दुहितरं सावित्रीं सविता यथा ॥ ३-११०-५ ॥
'When the crops flourished once more, King Lomapada gave his daughter Shanta in marriage to him, just as the sun had once given his daughter Savitri.' ॥ 3-110-5 ॥
