ततः पुण्यजला रम्या राज्ञा समनुचिन्तिता ईशानं च सथितं दृष्ट्वा गगणात सहसा चयुता ॥ ३-१०८-६ ॥
'Then, as the delightful river of pure waters was envisioned by the king, she suddenly descended from the sky, noticing that the great Lord Shiva was there to receive her fall.' ॥ 3-108-6 ॥
english translation
तां परच्युतां ततॊ दृष्ट्वा देवाः सार्धं महर्षिभिः गन्धर्वॊरगरक्षांसि समाजग्मुर दिदृक्षया ॥ ३-१०८-७ ॥
'Upon witnessing her leap from the heavens, the gods, along with the mighty sages, Gandharvas, serpents, and Yakshas, gathered as spectators.' ॥ 3-108-7 ॥
english translation
ततः पपात गगणाद गङ्गा हिमवतः सुता समुद्भ्रान्त महावर्ता मीनग्राहसमाकुला ॥ ३-१०८-८ ॥
'Then Ganga, the daughter of the snowy mountain, descended from the sky. Her waters surged with fierce whirlpools, teeming with fish and sharks.' ॥ 3-108-8 ॥

तां दधार हरॊ राजन गङ्गां गगण मेखलाम ललाटदेशे पतितां मालां मुक्ता मयीम इव ॥ ३-१०८-९ ॥
'As she directed her course towards the sea, she split into three streams, her surface adorned with frothy cascades that resembled rows of white ganders.' ॥ 3-108-9 ॥

सा बभूव विसर्पन्ती तरिधा राजन समुद्रगा फेनपुञ्जाकुल जला हंसानाम इव पङ्क्तयः ॥ ३-१०८-१० ॥
'O King, flowing forth, that river moving towards the ocean split into three streams, its waters turbulent with masses of foam, like rows of swans.' ॥ 3-108-10 ॥
