शंकरं भवम ईशानं शूलपानिं पिनाकिनम तर्यम्बकं शिवम उग्रेशं बहुरूपम उमापतिम ॥ ३-१०४-११ ॥
'He beheld the magnanimous three-eyed God, the slayer of the demon Tripura, the bestower of blessings upon all beings, the eternal essence, the sovereign ruler, the bearer of the Pinaka bow, and the wielder of the trident. He is the repository of eternal peace, the lord of the fierce, capable of assuming countless forms, and the consort of the goddess Uma.' ॥ 3-104-11 ॥
english translation
zaMkaraM bhavama IzAnaM zUlapAniM pinAkinama taryambakaM zivama ugrezaM bahurUpama umApatima ॥ 3-104-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस तं दृष्ट्वैव वरदं पत्नीभ्यां सहितॊ नृपः परनिपत्य महाबाहुः पुत्रार्थं समयाचत ॥ ३-१०४-१२ ॥
'And that same ruler of men, with mighty arms, upon seeing the boon-granting deity, fell at his feet along with both his queens and earnestly prayed for a son.' ॥ 3-104-12 ॥

sa taM dRSTvaiva varadaM patnIbhyAM sahitò nRpaH paranipatya mahAbAhuH putrArthaM samayAcata ॥ 3-104-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतं परीतिमान हरः पराह सभार्यं नृपसत्तमम यस्मिन वृतॊ मुहूर्ते ऽहं तवयेह नृपते वरम ॥ ३-१०४-१३ ॥
'The pleased Hara (Lord Shiva) said to the excellent king along with his wife: 'O King, at whatever moment you have chosen me for the boon .'' ॥ 3-104-13 ॥

taM parItimAna haraH parAha sabhAryaM nRpasattamama yasmina vRtò muhUrte 'haM tavayeha nRpate varama ॥ 3-104-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptषष्टिः पुत्रसहस्राणि शूराः समरदर्पिताः एकस्यां संभविष्यन्ति पत्न्यां तव नरॊत्तम ॥ ३-१०४-१४ ॥
'Sixty thousand sons, O foremost among the valiant, distinguished by their great pride, shall be born to one of your two wives.' ॥ 3-104-14 ॥

SaSTiH putrasahasrANi zUrAH samaradarpitAH ekasyAM saMbhaviSyanti patnyAM tava naròttama ॥ 3-104-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptते चैव सर्वे सहिताः कषयं यास्यन्ति पार्थिव एकॊ वंशधरः शूर एकस्यां संभविष्यति एवम उक्त्वा तु तं रुद्रस तत्रैवान्तरधीयत ॥ ३-१०४-१५ ॥
'However, all of them, O ruler of the earth, shall perish together. To the other wife, a single valiant son will be born, who will ensure the continuity of your lineage.” After imparting this blessing, the god Rudra (Shiva) vanished from sight.' ॥ 3-104-15 ॥

te caiva sarve sahitAH kaSayaM yAsyanti pArthiva ekò vaMzadharaH zUra ekasyAM saMbhaviSyati evama uktvA tu taM rudrasa tatraivAntaradhIyata ॥ 3-104-15 ॥
